Season 6
Season sixth-This season is pretty different from the previous ones. The episode begins with the problematic case of one of Monk’s fan. Her dog is accused of her neighbor’s murder, when the pet had died three days earlier than the neighbor. In the second episode, the real life rap artist ‘Snoop Dog’ makes a guest appearance. He is in the role of an accused of killing his rival.
In next episode, Monk fights with his ever existing phobia of nude people, as he has to investigate at nudist beach. Unfortunately, he gets on the wrong track in his investigation. In another episode, Stottlemeyer’s girl friend Linda becomes Monk’s target as she is accused of a murder.
Monk can never stay away from duty. When he meets Natalie’s teenager daughter’ boy friend, his T-Shirt proves to be clue of a murder case. Monk goes for a treasure hunt in ‘The Buried Treasure”. The news fascinates Monk, when another person suffering from phobia of heights, became popular as ‘Frisco Fly’. Monk finds it as a silver line around the dark cloud of his phobia.
Later Monk finds out that a person, he sent to jail several years back, has proved his innocence through a DNA test. Now, the contrite Monk helps him in adjusting with the outer world and reunites him with his ex-wife.
In this season, he continuously falls into pools of difficulties. He faces a mysterious woman and then is accused of shooting a Santa, burying the handle of weapon in his backyard along with many more similar troubles.
Best Episode- Mr. Monk Is On The Run
“Mr. Monk Is On The Run-1” and “2”, both episodes snatched the highest ratings from the season. In these episodes, Monk is accused of a murder and absconds from Sheriff’s custody. Later, he fakes his own death, in the finale episode. While, he is looking for the person who framed him in murder charges, everybody is mourning over his death.
