Season three-The season three is longer, funnier and more happening than the last two seasons and paved the clear way to more seasons. In the first episode, Monk goes for a medication to get rid of disorders and shows improvements as well. But this proves to be baneful for Stottlemeyer, as Monk loses his special abilities of solving cases. Monk moves to New York, following evidence relating to murder case of Trudy.

In third episode, Monk is babysitting a chimpanzee, Darwin, who is accused of a murder. Monk shows up his phobia of germs while handling Darwin. Later, Monk puts his job into danger due to his germ phobia, as he destroys important evidence, accidentally.

In this season, Sharona quits Monk’s job and relocates to Los Angeles to remarry her ex-husband. Now, another single mom Natalie joins Monk as his assistant. After which Mr. Monk encounters a murder case whose suspect has died six years ago, but when the real killer shows him a glimpse, the bemusing case gets solved.

Get ready to rock with Monk in Las Vegas. He goes to a casino over there. Stottlemeyer calls him to solve a murder mystery during a bachelor party, he was there to attend. Interestingly in the sin city, Stottlemeyer’s assistant, Disher is also trying his luck on the blackjack table.

The finale episode makes Monk to confront his other phobias of dirty diapers and milk. Actually, he has to take care of an eight months old kid, who was holding a human finger in his tiny palm, which belongs to a murder victim.

In this episode, Monk and team find an eight month old kid with a human finger in his tiny fist. This finger belongs to a violin prodigy, who has been recently murdered. Now Monk has to play the role of a babysitter, despite his phobias of germs and milk, to throw more light on the case. Tony Shalhoub’s actress wife Brooke Adams too played a small role of mother of the victim.
