Monk Episodes :- Mr. Monk and the Captain’s Wife

Captain Stottlemeyer’s wife, Karen gets seriously injured while she was traveling in her car to reach the spot for filming of her documentary. The reason for her fate was her car being hit by a truck whose driver had been murdered by a sharp shooter. The abovementioned truck driver was not a part of truck driver’s union. Captain Stottlemeyer rages with anger and puts the whole blame on an untrustworthy union official. His suspicion is cemented as a concrete fact when murder of another tow truck driver takes place. Lieutenant Disher is skeptical about Captain Stottlemeyer’s theory as he notices a strange detail regarding the victim and the attacker. He finds out that both the victim and attacker were barefoot. To console and calm the raging Captain Monk decides to assist him in investigating the case. Stottlemeyer is distraught, as he fears that his beloved wife might succumb to her injuries. He looses his control and takes out his rage on anything within his reach right from victim to non-living things. This poses a great threat to Captain’s job. However, his aggressiveness starts settling down as his wife starts recovering. Monk accidentally ends up solving the case before it was too late and Stottlemeyer and his men launched a full on assault on the union leader.
