Monk Episodes :- Mr. Monk goes to Circus

Murder of a ringmaster who was disliked by many due to his odd mannerisms moves the storyline forward. To escape from being recognized the murderer disguises himself by wearing a facemask and an apparel that is reminiscent of those worn by Ninja fighters. Stottlemeyer is suspicious that an animal trainer can be behind this murder. His belief is cemented by the fact that the animal trainer in consideration had a brief affair with ex-lover of the ring mater’s dinner date and the weapon via which the murder was committed also belonged to this man. Monk as usual is thinking on different lines. He discovers that ringmaster’s wife besides being a trapeze artist was a sharp shooter as well. This triggers him to consider ringmaster’s wife as the prime suspect as well. Monk theory is contradicted a bit, as ringmasters wife was struggling with a foot fracture. Monk is put off by Sharona’s fear of elephants and he tries to avoid involving her in the whole process of investigation. He has to change is mind when the elephant crushes the head of its trainer in the presence of Monk and Sharona. When Monk comes to know that, the chances of an elephant turning hostile are very rare he believes that elephant’s attack on the trainer might have been a murder.
