This episode begins by focusing on the murder of a ruthless CEO Lawrence Hammond. Stottlemeyer believes that CEO had a huge list of enemies because of his ruthless attitude and somebody among them might be behind this murder. But Monk is skeptical about Stottlemeyer’s view as he is finding it very hard to understand that how come CEO was shot only once whereas his wife was shot four times. He thinking takes a contrasting lane, as he believes that CEO’s wife might have been the prime target. This case seemed a hard nut to crack as the only evidence vailable at kitty were CEO’s last words, “Girls can’t eat fifteen pizzas.” Intense investigations by Monk reveal that Ceo’s wife was having an affair with Major League superstar Scott Gregorio. Gregario’s performance had shown a steep downfall since the murder of CEO’s wife. He seemed like a victim himself rather than a guilty party involved in this murder. Monk felt for the man as he had felt in the same lines when he lost his dear wife Trudy. Gregario assista Monk in decoding the true meaning behind CEO Hammond’s last words.
