Monk Episodes :- Mr. Monk and the Red Headed Stranger

Willie Nelson, a country singer by profession plays his own self in this episode. He name features most prominently in connection with the murder of his manager. Although, he is prime suspect in the murder case, it is very difficult to pounce on him, as the only witness in this regard is a blind woman who overheard the brawl and can identify Willie only via his voice. Stottlemeyer involves himself in this case despite of a broken arm. Due to lack of substantial evidence, he is hesitant in arresting Willie but another evidence in the form of a video tape adds concreteness to his belief that Willie must be the culprit. Monk still ponders over the fact that note used to tempt the victim to get entrapped in a death trap refers to him as J. Cross whereas Willie refers to him as Sonny. The monk gets very skeptical about Willie’s involvement in this crime. Monk is fully geared up to resolve the case and clear the singer’s name as a tribute to his dead wife, who was a great fan of Willie Nelson.
