Monk Episodes :- Mr. Monk and the Marathon Man

Detective Monk suspects that a man named Trevor McDowell is behind the murder of a woman that took place during the San Francisco marathon. Detective Monk takes this man as the prime suspect even though he was involved in the abovementioned marathon. The suspicion is triggered by the video evidence, which clearly shows that Trevor McDowell was absent half way through the race and reappears only at the end. His disappearance from the race is contradicted by a computer chip, which had recorded his presence at all the checkpoints. Monk interrogates the ex-husband of the woman in connection with this murder as well. Monk receives a valuable suggestion from Stottlemeyer, that chip might have been passed to somebody and then tampered with to create this whole mystery regarding Trevor McDowell missing at various points of the race. Sharon believes that Trevor McDowell’s hero, an ex- marathon runner from Nigeria may have assisted the murderer. Monk does not support her theory but still has a chance to have a brief meeting with this ex-marathon runner. Monk has resolved the murder mystery in his own mind and gears up to seize the real culprit and prove his side.
