This was the pilot episode of Monk series. The pilot was aired in two separate parts. Detective Monk is engrossed in an intense investigation regarding an attempt to assassinate Mayoral Candidate Warren St. Claire. Detective Monk discovers that there is a lot of substance attached with this attempt to murder the Mayoral Candidate.
