Natalie Jane Teeger- Portrayed by Traylor Howard

Natalie’s Character- She is portraying the role of Adrian Monk’s personal assistant after Monk’s personal nurse, Sharona Fleming left. The character was introduced in the mid way of the third season, after Bitty Schram playing Sharona was released from the show. Sharona decides to remarry her ex-husband and moves to New Jersey.

Natalie Teeger is a widow and the mother of eleven year old daughter. She meets Monk for the first time at her home, when he comes over there to investigate about two men who broke into her home. She killed one of them for self defense. As Sharon has just left the job, so Monk offers Natalie to be his assistant. Initially she refuses but when learns that he is kind towards her daughter, she accepts the job. After her husband’s demise, she had a tough time. To fulfill financial needs of her daughter she did many small jobs like, in a shopping mall, with an unbearable boss and also in an office just before joining Monk.
Her parents are rich people and are third largest toothpaste manufacturers of the world. But they are angry with Natalie because she married a common man.

Life and Career- She was least interested in adopting acting as a career. She had appeared in a Juicy Fruit commercial when she was in preparatory school. She has a degree in Communications and Advertising, and a minor in English. It was her former boy friend who introduced her to the acting world. She is so beautiful and is made for showbiz. She got her first film role in 1994 in ‘Till the End of the Night’ and ‘Confessions of a Sexist Pig’ in the same year. She got her third movie ‘Dirty Work’ in 1998. She has worked in several movies till 2002.
Other than ‘Monk’, she has worked in ‘Girl’, ‘Two Guys and a girl’, ‘West Wing’, ‘Boston Common’ and ‘Bram and Alice’. In 2005, she stepped into the role of Natalie in ‘Monk’, and is continuing to date.
She has married twice, first with Cameron Hall in 1991, but soon got divorced. She also started dating George Clooney in 2000. But she got married to Christian Navarro and after three years of marriage again is in the process of divorce. She gave birth to a son Sabu in 2006, and while working in ‘Monk’ she was pregnant, cameramen tried many tricks to hide her abdomen during the show.
