Hi friends! For those of you who have been watching the Monk series from the beginning, you are sure to remember the divorced single mother who assisted the title character in solving many mysteries. Well, the lady named Sharona Fleming played by actress Bitty Schram is going to appear on the upcoming season of the show after a gap on nearly five years.

The series which has just completed airing its Season 7, is supposed to return with its final season, that is Season 8, sometime in summer this year. Reportedly, Sharona will be seen in this upcoming season and it will be her first appearance on the show after she left Monk mysteriously in the middle of the 3rd season. It seems that this final season of the show is turning into a special reunion and who knows who else from the yesteryears might still turn and surprise us with his/her appearance in the upcoming season.

But for now I am looking forward to watch Sharona back on the show. I hope that it is not just a one episode stint, as I really loved her performance in the Monk episodes and at least in the final season it would be nice to have the original team reunite for some witty case-solving.

Monk has been an unusual comedy which blends crime with humor and mystery in a very nice manner. It never came across as a non serious crime drama but I always thought that Monk has been one of the greatest detective shows which is full of excitement, fun and comedy. The awesome plotline about a man suffering from OCD and how he uses his OCD to help solve cases that local police can’t solve is really worth watching. It is a shame that the wonderful show is about to be winded up so soon. With the totally different story line and brilliant performances by each of the cast members, I don’t think the show needs to be called off. It has picked up brilliantly on its ratings and has changed the outlook of the audiences towards crime solving. I really feel that Monk tv show has all the potential to continue for at least another couple of years.
